ASHRM CE Credit: 1
Risk Professionals interested in learning how to apply the principles of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to common clinical risks will value the webinar “Reducing the Cost of Inpatient Falls: An Application of Enterprise Risk Management”. You will learn how to identify the 5 steps of Enterprise Risk Management, apply ERM to the prevention of falls with injury, and create lasting value.
This webinar, presented by Shannon Delchamps, BSN, RN, CPHRM, CPPS and Rebecca Bailey, MSN, RN, CPHRM, will provide a practical knowledge of the 5 steps of Enterprise Risk Management and how to apply them to the common risk/patient safety issue of fall injury prevention.
Traditional fall prevention activities have not been shown to be effective in preventing inpatient falls or injuries from falls. The novel approach presented in this webinar will arm the Risk Professional with tools both to reduce the cost of inpatient falls resulting in injury and to advance Enterprise Risk Management across the organization.
Today’s Risk Professional may be in the position of combining traditional, clinical risk management with enterprise risk management. This webinar will demonstrate how to do just that and will leave the learner with practical instruction that can be applied to other, similar issues in risk management.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the 5 steps of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Process.
- Understand how to apply the ERM Process to the prevention of falls with injury.
- Apply the principles of ERM to other risks identified in the organizations.
- Create value for the organization and the patients who are served there.
