Health Care Risk Management Advanced Applications
The HRM Certificate Program is a 2-part foundational course covering the knowledge and applied skills necessary to succeed as a health care risk professional.
This program was designed for those with 0-3 years’ experience in health care risk management, but it is open to all risk professionals. The curriculum focuses on learner-centered in-person training with an emphasis on interactivity and application.
HRM Advanced Applications - Focus on what new risk professionals need to be able to do. This course is designed to expand upon, practice, and apply the health care risk management principles described in HRM Essentials (Part 1) to real-world scenarios regarding more complex subject matter. This course is ideal for those with 2-3 years of experience in health care risk management, but all risk professionals would benefit from this professional development. It is required to complete HRM Essentials (Part 1) before attending this course.
This course is offered in-person for over 2.5 days with 4 hours of on-demand virtual course work to review core content from HRM Essentials.

This program is approved for 21 contact hours of continuing education credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow), and toward CPHRM renewal – for those who hold the designation at the time of the program.

American Society for Health Care Risk Management is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This program has been approved for 21 contact hours.
