Speaker Bio

Kris Oliveira, RN, MA, JD, CPHRM began her career as a clinical nurse specializing in orthopedic trauma and oncology. Her path quickly took her to clinical administrative roles in health care systems, insurance carriers, brokerages and her own consulting firm. Career highlights include Senior Vice President for Healthcare at Marsh USA, Senior Risk Consultant establishing the NORCAL Mutual Insurance Risk Operations for Rhode Island, Director of Risk, Claims and Employee Health for the Southcoast Health System and Senior Risk Management Consultant for AIG leading health care & corporate level systems, senior care, behavioral health and miscellaneous facilities. She received the first Distinguished Alumni award from her law school and recognition from all of her respective employers citing exceptional client service, peer support and marketing successes. She is a frequent presenter at risk, claims, insurance and captive conferences, with the most recent one entitled “Criminalizing the Clinical Defendant: Straight from the Headlines” at the 2022 Cayman Insurance Captive Conference (IMAC) with colleagues from Gallagher and a large defense firm.

Catherstine (Catherine) M. Jones MSN, RN, CPHRM, CPSO serves as the leader responsible for Clinical Risk Management, Patient Safety, and Culture of Safety initiatives across the Surgery Partners Enterprise. She holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from S.D. Bishop State Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. Catherine further pursued a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Healthcare Leadership and Management from Walden University and the University of South Alabama.

Across her 28 years of professional experience, Catherine has made significant contributions to the health care industry. She is skilled in various nursing specialties, including hyperbaric medicine, wound care, emergency services, and more. Catherine is an active member of multiple professional associations. She serves as a National Chapter Leader Task Force member with the American Society of Health Care Risk Management and is the President-Elect of the Georgia Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Patricia Hannon PhD, RN, NEA-BC provides oversight for clinical leadership for hospitals and ASCs located in same markets as affiliated hospitals. She has been with Surgery Partners since November 2020. Dr. Hannon is a Nurse Executive with over 38 years in health care operations and clinical practice. Dr. Hannon’s experience spans across several health systems including the University of Alabama Hospital, Emory University Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Vaughn Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Health System and Grady Health System. Dr. Hannon holds a Ph.D., Doctor of Philosophy with a Major in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, and Bachelors and Master in Nursing from the University of Alabama. Dr. Hannon is Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certified with system-wide and organization-wide influence. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society and has received several outstanding accolades throughout her career including a Clinical Nurse Excellence in Leadership Management Award, and Clinical Excellence in Nursing Practice Award. Dr. Hannon also consulted on numerous doctoral dissertations and scholarly projects. Dr. Hannon continues to provide support to doctoral students regarding scholarly projects and dissertations and consults with health systems leaders and schools of nursing nationwide to advance nursing excellence. Academically, Dr. Hannon was a clinical instructor for undergraduate medical-surgical, critical care, and intensive care nursing as well, nursing research, qualitative analysis, nursing theory, and nursing leadership. She has also served on several universities, academic and hospital boards.
