Update from Leadership Regarding the ASHRM 2020 40th Anniversary Conference

July 15, 2020

In light of the latest COVID-19 developments, requirements and recommendations from CDC and local authorities in Phoenix, the American Hospital Association has decided it must cancel all in-person plans for the ASHRM 2020 40th Anniversary Conference. Recently, we at ASHRM announced that we’re planning an online virtual conference option for attendees who were unable to travel. We have scheduled the ASHRM 2020 virtual conference for October, and plan to incorporate many components of the in-person event.

While we share your disappointment that we are unable to gather together in Phoenix, our top priority is the health and safety of our members and our communities. At the same time, we recognize that the health care risk management community needs our support now more than ever, particularly the education, knowledge exchange and networking that the virtual conference can provide. We are committed to offering education that meets member CE needs at a cost that will enable those with diminished financial support to participate.

Registration for the ASHRM 2020 virtual conference will open soon. We plan to announce more information about this program in the coming weeks. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to ASHRM directly at ASHRM@aha.org or 312-422-3980.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you online at the virtual conference in October.

Sincerely,
