The AHA provided a statement to the House Ways and Means Committee for a markup July 15 on various pieces of health legislation. The AHA offered feedback on the Health Care Price Certainty for All Americans Act, which would codify and expand hospital price transparency requirements. The AHA also provided comments on other legislation the committee considered, including bills to expand remote physiologic monitoring; increase physician anesthesiology payments to certain rural hospitals to address workforce shortages; strengthen the long-term care hospital payment system; streamline prior authorization requirements; and address transparency in Medicare Advantage.
