MACPAC recommends increase in wage transparency for home- and community-based service workers
The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission March 12 released its March 2026 report to Congress. The first chapter includes a recommendation to strengthen the home- and community-based service workforce by requiring states to report hourly wages paid to HCBS workers to assist states in establishing effective HCBS payment rates. The second chapter discusses behavioral health spending, while the third chapter examines the role of Medicaid in supporting youth in the justice system. The final chapter shares an overview of how Medicaid serves children in the child welfare system.
