Navigating a challenging work environment can feel overwhelming, especially when facing abusive supervision, unrealistic workloads, or patterns that undermine your performance. This session, with an experienced employment advocate, provides a supportive and practical guide to understanding your rights, protecting your professional health, and making informed decisions in tough workplace situations.

Participants will learn how to recognize unhealthy dynamics early, communicate effectively, set boundaries, and document concerns in a way that safeguards their career. The session also explores options for seeking internal or external support, advocating for yourself with confidence, and identifying pathways toward a safer, healthier, and more sustainable work experience.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify early warning signs of unhealthy workplace dynamics including abusive supervision, harmful work cultures, and chronic overwork
  2. Develop practical strategies to protect yourself and maintain professionalism
  3. Explore options for advocacy, escalation, and long-term solutions
