This webinar, "CPHRM: The Value and Importance of Certification, and Strategies for Success," offers a comprehensive overview of the Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) credential. Speakers:

Ann Gaffey, RN, MSN, CPHRM, DFASHRM, is an industry-recognized risk management, quality and patient safety professional with over forty years of experience in healthcare, having served as the 2016 President of ASHRM.  She provides consultative services to healthcare organizations across the care continuum to develop, improve and enhance enterprise risk management and patient safety programs. She has a passion for leading organizational change, and for coaching and mentoring teams and individuals to lead effective and efficient risk management programs.

Ann’s experience has included traditional risk assessment and mitigation activities, managing self-insurance and captive insurance programs, insurance purchasing, liability claims management, and general ERM program development.

 

Douglas Borg, MHA, ARM, CPHRM, DFASHRM, with more than 40 years of health care experience, Doug has risk management, claims and insurance experience working in multiple settings – community hospitals, academic medical centers, large health systems, captive insurance providers, and as an independent consultant. He has been actively involved in professional leadership serving twice as the President of the North Carolina Chapter of ASHRM as well as ASHRM President in 2008. He has contributed to multiple ASHRM publications and enjoys teaching and speaking on a variety of risk, claims and insurance-related topics.
