In high-stakes emergencies, traditional floor plans and turn-by-turn navigation often fall short—leaving first responders without the critical information they need to act quickly and effectively. This webinar equips health care risk professionals and public safety teams with the knowledge and tools to bridge the “last mile” of emergency response. Participants will explore the limitations of conventional navigation methods and learn how enhanced visual tools, such as pre-incident emergency response maps, can dramatically improve situational awareness, response times, and outcomes. The session also emphasizes the importance of integrating navigation data across platforms like CAD, radio systems, and mobile apps to support unified command and responder accountability.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify common limitations and inaccuracies of traditional floor plans when used for navigation during an emergency, with 90% accuracy during scenario-based discussions.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to explain how enhanced visual navigation tools, such as pre-incident emergency response maps, provide more actionable information for first responders during live emergency events, as evaluated through group exercises.
  3. Analyze the importance of integrating navigation data across multiple platforms (e.g., CAD, radio systems, mobile applications) to support unified command and responder accountability, achieving consensus during tabletop discussions.
