Risk managers are being challenged by their Boards to address patient safety event reduction as well as to aggressively defend cases in a time of nuclear verdicts. This panel looks at some the industry partnerships that can provide the depth of information needed for the risk manager, and their Board members, to make significant progress in these two areas.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the value of a strong clinical taxonomy when coding patient safety events
- Prioritize event causation when setting risk management initiatives
- Proactively seek resolution opportunities for events with liability concerns
