Speakers:

Mike Schilller, FAHRMM, CMRP is the Executive Director of the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM), a professional membership group within the American Hospital Association (AHA). With over 35 years of expertise in the health care supply chain, Schiller leads AHRMM as its senior executive and subject matter expert.
In his role, Schiller actively engages with a diverse array of health care leaders and executives from across the health care continuum. He works to shape the development of critical supply chain strategies, champions industry advocacy, and promotes risk mitigation measures.
Schiller works closely with AHA leadership to shape the association’s supply chain strategies, spearheading initiatives that support the health care field including clinical integration, workforce recruitment and retention, and the resilience of medical and pharmaceutical supply chains.
Schiller holds a graduate certificate in Information Systems Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northeastern Illinois University. He is recognized as an AHRMM Fellow (FAHRMM), a Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP), and a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. In 2021, Schiller was honored with the prestigious George R. Gossett Leadership Award.

Barbara McCarthy RN, MPH, CPHRM, DFASHRM retired in September 2023 as Enterprise Risk Officer at Beverly Hospital, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, in Beverly Massachusetts. She was a resource for risk prevention/control for acute care, inpatient behavioral health, and insured physician practices along with a wide range of past experiences including infection control, environmental safety, privacy, and Joint Commission survey coordination as well as critical care and med/surg clinical and operational leadership.
Barb has been an active member of both state and national risk management associations. She was Massachusetts state chapter president in 2009, served as ASHRM president in 2022, and is an ASHRM ERM faculty member. Barb was ASHRM Risk Manager of the Year 2020 and Massachusetts Risk Manager of the Year 2021. She is a member of the Human Rights Committee at Melmark New England & received its Vision of Hope award in 2022. Barb is currently chair of the Rockport Board of Health.
