Maintaining and evolving an effective Risk Management Program requires structure and an adept understanding of the work being done within and by the department. One of the challenges that many of us face is the difficulty in capturing the metrics that tell our story. Capturing the details of our work is time-consuming to develop, vet, and implement. However, once in place, it can determine what is working right and where effort is needed and provide data that tells a story we can share. Such data, dashboards and structure allow a risk department to be nimble and pivot towards ever-changing and evolving risks. It may also be a tool to evaluate the efficacy and efficiency of a team. Risk leadership can use these tools to steer departmental goals, develop teams, hire effectively, and share information with leaders across the institution.  This presentation will give attendees the opportunity to learn about risk management specific variables, tools to develop dashboards and how data can tell a story that will help you design your work and lead your risk program towards effectiveness.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the purpose and use of a dashboard and risk department specific data
  2. Utilize departmental data to steer departmental goals, develop teams, hire effectively and share information
  3. Capture team productivity, specifically hybrid and remote teams, and highlight day to day operations
