Pearls for Nurses, Part I and Part II

As the primary caregivers in hospitals, nurses are well positioned to improve patient safety and reduce risk. This position gives nurses the needed insight to not only identify problems in healthcare systems, but also to be part of patient safety solutions. ASHRM collaborated with the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) to write two comprehensive booklets—Healthcare Risk Management Pearls for Nurses. The contents of these booklets are based on medical malpractice claim trends, serious safety event lessons and emerging risks, as well as solutions.
