As a high reliability organization, Our Lady of Lake Regional Medical Center's goal was to create an active and ongoing reporting system that used valid and reliable data sources to drive safety improvement. In order to accomplish this goal, the organization needed to implement a process that incorporated accurate recording and closure of all events and to help facility leaders develop risk reduction strategies and corrective action plans to avoid future occurrences. This webinar will discuss the key elements needed to implement an effective workflow management program and the steps needed to sustain the program to drive future safety improvements.

  • Participants will learn how Lean Methodology and Change Acceleration techniques were employed to improve safety event review rates.
  • Participants will understand root causes leading to safety events not being reviewed.
  • Participants will have a clear understanding of how an effective workflow management process can drive safety improvement.
