Whereas, the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) is a personal membership group of the American Hospital Association, and
Whereas, there are nearly 5,300 members of ASHRM who represent healthcare, insurance, law, and other related healthcare risk management related professions, and
Whereas, ASHRM promotes effective and innovative risk management strategies and patient safety through education, recognition, advocacy, publications, networking, and interactions with leading healthcare organizations and government agencies, and
Whereas, ASHRM’s mission is to advance safe and trusted patient-centered healthcare delivery by promoting proactive and innovative healthcare risk management of organization-wide risk, and
Whereas, Along with ASHRM, the [name of your state or local chapter] has declared the week of June 20-24, 2011 as Healthcare Risk Management Week in celebration of the ways in which risk managers strive to promote safe and effective patient care practices, the preservation of financial resources and the maintenance of safe working environments, therefore be it resolved
Resolved, That I, [Governor’s/Mayor’s name and title], ask that all residents of this state/community join me in honoring the risk management professionals who advocate for all of us, and be it further
