    HRM Week Lunch and Learn

    A “Lunch and Learn” is an easy and fun way to engage your co-workers in Healthcare Risk Management (HRM) Week as we Recognize the Value of Risk Management. As each workplace is different, you may want to personalize the Lunch and Learn session to suit the needs and wants of your organization.

    To get you started, ASHRM is sharing a few tips on what you may want to consider as you plan your Lunch and Learn:

    • Consider having a catered lunch, or invite co-workers to a brown bag lunch with you and your fellow colleagues
    • Communicate whether lunch will be provided, or if attendees should bring their own
    • You may want to share a short presentation on the value of healthcare risk management and take some Q&A from attendees. Or, you may want to share a short presentation and utilize the June 21 webinar. This webinar supports the theme of 2011 HRM Week: Recognizing the Value of Risk Management
    • Send an e-mail invitation as early as possible to co-workers, senior leaders and other members of your organization that you believe may benefit from learning more about our profession
    • Book a conference room (or other meeting area) with appropriate capabilities such as a computer, projection screens, whiteboards or other tools
    • Decide what giveaways you'll offer. ASHRM has made many giveaways available such as the tipcard
    • Personalize the HRM Week PowerPoint and Q&A for usage in your presentation.
