On behalf of the 5,600 plus members of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, welcome to Healthcare Risk Management Week! This year’s theme, “Getting to Zero™ through the Power of One” highlights ASHRM’s ongoing initiative to help eliminate preventable serious safety events. Our goal will take a collective effort but will happen one person, one leader, one organization at a time. Be sure you and your team are in the game because we’re all in-it-to-win-it for ourselves and our organizations, but more importantly for our patients and their families. We invite you to join us in furthering our goal of Getting to Zero™ during Healthcare Risk Management Week and throughout the year!

Now Available: Recorded HRM WEEK WEBINAR: Why Children's National Reduced Serious Safety Events by Nearly 80 percent and How You Can Too
Children's National's experience demonstrates that there is great potential in driving down preventable harm by combining process improvement with behavioral and human factor driven change. In other words, an empowered nurse or doctor, or even environmental service worker, has a significant capacity for communicating and responding to his or her environment in a manner that improves reliability of performance and reduces the risk of missteps or patient harm. Children's National refers to that potential as the "Power of One" — the collective effort that will help "Get to Zero" but will happen one individual, one leader, one organization at a time. If you missed this webinar, you may now purchase a recorded version of the program. If you attended the live webinar but would like to view it again, ASHRM will email you the link to the recorded program. Click Here for more details
