    Client CPHRM Exam Prep Course

As a service to organizations seeking to support the professional development of their employees, ASHRM offers a locally administered CPHRM Examination Preparation Course. This is a convenient, cost-effective local version of the courses provided by ASHRM.

The course's overview of material corresponds to the content areas of the exam and can help test-takers focus on areas for further study or review once-familiar subjects.

ASHRM has set a standard administration fee of $4,500 for clients to cover all specified support.

    • Honoraria for 2 faculty ($750 each) administered by ASHRM
    • Travel, accommodations and expenses for 2 faculty arranged by ASHRM
    • Processing of 7 contact hours of continuing education credits toward CPHRM renewal, FASHRM/DFASHRM designations, Nursing through the Illinois Nurses Association, and Category II (non-ACHE) toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
    • Provision of certificates of attendance with approved continuing education documentation

Terms for hosting a Client CPHRM Exam Prep Course

Clients may want to consider the following recommendations for planning a Client CPHRM Exam Prep Course:

    Pick a date
Some clients choose to bundle a prep course with a regular meeting or other event.  It's optimal to allow three months to plan and market an event.  Check with ASHRM to make sure the prospective date does not conflict with ASHRM programming.

    Select the faculty
ASHRM has a roster of credentialed faculty and can initiate faculty involvement.

Select a location and set the fee
The prep course requires at least eight hours with a set agenda for content delivery (either one day from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., or two half-days of four hours each). Clients charging a fee for the course will want to factor in the expected number of participants (typically 20-30), location for the course, whether lunch will be served and other factors.

    Order the prep guide
Unused books can be returned to the AHA order fulfillment vendor for credit. Shipping costs can be minimized by ordering the books at least two weeks before the date of the course.

    Cancellation policy
Fees, less a $150 cancellation fee, are refundable only if written notice is postmarked or emailed no later than 20 business days before the session date. After 20 business days, fees are refundable, less air travel expenses for two faculty and a $150 cancellation fee.

For more information or with questions, contact Grecelda Buchanan at gbuchanan@aha.org or (312) 422-3984.
