Webinar: Risk Management in Physician Offices: We’ve Only Just Begun!

    Date/Time
    Thursday, August 16, 2012

    1 - 2 p.m. (CT)
    2 - 3 p.m. (ET)
    Noon - 1 p.m. (MT)
    11 a.m. - Noon (PT)

During the last 20 years, the image of the friendly neighborhood doctor’s office has permanently transformed into a more corporate entity focused on profits. Fueled by mergers and economic pressures, physician offices face increased scrutiny by both regulators and the communities they serve. The results of this scrutiny often manifest as reduced patient satisfaction, increased lawsuits, higher staff turnover and lower productivity. This makes for a unique culture and challenging environment that is fraught with risk.

Physician offices can help improve patient outcomes and staff productivity, as well as reduce professional liability exposure, by having an effective risk management program in place. They also need to be aware of specific high-risk operational and clinical risk issues, effective methods for managing employee issues, and procedures to elevate patient satisfaction. This timely webinar will discuss methods for effectively addressing risk in the physician office setting.

After the webinar participants should be able to:

    • Identify the key components of an effective risk management plan
    • List three key operational and clinical risk areas
    • Identify critical operational and clinical risk reduction strategies
    • Discuss methods to improve patient and staff satisfaction
