    Education programs at ASHRM Academy 2014 include:

    HRM Certificate Program
    As the cornerstone of ASHRM’s professional development opportunities, the program covers key aspects of risk management, while providing valuable continuing education credits. Leading experts, professional contacts, powerful tools and impactful lessons are just some of the valuable ways in which participants can benefit from attending the program. It consists of three modules: Essentials in HRM, Applications in HRM and Advanced Forum in HRM. Participants who complete all three modules will earn a certificate.

    Patient Safety Certificate Program
    This program is designed to help healthcare risk management and patient safety professionals apply key concepts to support improved patient care. The program consists of Part I: Set the Framework and Part II: Take the Lead. Participants may register for one or both. Those who complete both parts will earn a certificate.

    CPHRM Exam Prep Course
    The Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) is the healthcare industry’s premier certification for the risk management profession. Prepare for the CPHRM exam by participating in this helpful, 1½ day course.

    CPHRM Exam
    The AHA Certification Center is pleased to offer a special administration of the CPHRM certification exam at ASHRM Academy. The CPHRM exam is based on practical experience and knowledge gained academically, as well as on the job. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to sit for the exam. Those who receive a passing score on the exam, earn the CPHRM certification.

    Partner Program – Emerging Issues in Risk Management
    The Risk Authority, LLC, of the Stanford University Medical Network is partnering with ASHRM to offer a two-day educational program—Emerging Issues in Risk Management. The day one topic will be: ACOs and the Emerging Risk Management Imperative. The day two topic will be: Implementation Strategies for Communication and Resolution Programs.

    Healthcare continues to evolve at a very fast pace with increased uncertainty about emerging risks and opportunities. Both topics have been developed by our risk consultants whose expertise stems from experience and research as the Stanford University Medical Network risk management team. We leverage this real world experience and research gleaned from our internal and external network which enables us to develop and hone leading edge solutions for our national client base.

    ASHRM Academy will be held at the Hyatt Lodge, 2815 Jorie Blvd., Oak Brook, IL,  60523.  The ASHRM discounted room rate is $159.  Attendees must make reservations at 1-888-421-1442 by April 4 to secure the discount rate.

    ASHRM is offering special meeting discounts for all attendees of the 2014 ASHRM Academy.  Simply call (or have your travel agent call) one of our preferred airlines directly to receive these special fares.

    Continuing Education (CE) Credits

    HRM and Patient Safety Certificate
    Attendees may earn their HRM or Patient Safety certificate, and all attendees may earn up to 13 ASHRM credits toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow), and toward CPHRM renewal requirements.

    Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
    American Society for Healthcare Risk Management is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

    This CNE activity is approved for 13.0 contact hours.

    CPHRM Prep Course

    Attendees may earn 11 ASHRM credits toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow), and toward CPHRM renewal requirements.

    Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
    The American Society for Healthcare Risk Management is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

    This CNE activity is approved for 11 contact hours.

    Live Programs: CEs are awarded after verification of an individual’s full attendance based on a daily sign-in sheet and successful completion of an online evaluation form (evaluation link sent following the program).
