Year after year, ASHRM’s annual conference continues to be the optimal learning, networking and career-building experience. With over 2,000 in attendance, thought provoking keynote speakers, 6 tracks and more than 70 concurrent sessions, ASHRM 2013 held up that tradition.
We understand that not everyone was able to attend ASHRM 2013. Even as an attendee, with so many educational opportunities available, we realize that you may not have been able to attend every session on your list. So we present a recap of several ASHRM 2013 highlights with newly added videos, photos and testimonies!
The 2013 ASHRM Annual Conference & Exhibition offered attendees a wide variety of educational information. With more than 70 concurrent sessions and six educational tracks, the Annual Conference provided content for attendees at every career level. Recorded sessions for most presentations are now available. Click here to go to the ASHRM Annual Conference mobile site or log in to the ASHRM mobile app on your smart phone or tablet.
ASHRM’s 2013 Annual Conference local chapter event, hosted by the Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management (GHSHRM), the North Texas Society for Healthcare Risk Management (NTSHRM), and the South Texas Society for Healthcare Risk Management (STSHRM), was a “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” success. With line dancing, bull riding, and the best bangers and beer in Austin, there was fun to be had by all. The committee, which consisted of members of GHSHRM, NTSHRM, and STSHRM, and chaired by Amanda Mount, raised over $3,000 between sponsorship and event registration. The committee is excited to announce they are splitting the proceeds between the three Texas chapters and are giving more than $1,000 to each chapter for use toward a scholarship to help cover the costs of one of their members to attend ASHRM 2014 in Anaheim, CA. Big thanks go to the committee and all of the sponsors who provided support to make the event a success.
If you missed the “Everyone is a Risk Manager” video at ASHRM 2013, be sure to watch it now. Shot on location with a Steadicam in a Chicago emergency department, the video features four healthcare professionals talking about how they handled a crisis situation after a large storm, while providing safe and trusted healthcare in any situation. The production debuted on Sunday, October 27, in Austin, Texas to more than 2,000 healthcare risk managers. Click here to watch it now.
