Using a healthcare simulation vignette and audience participation, the audience members learned how simulation can teach multidisciplinary teams new concepts to improve performance. ASHRM President, Mary Anne Hilliard, shared ASHRM’s new strategic direction of “Getting to Zero Through the Power of One” and honored this year’s individuals and organizations whose accomplishments embody the initiative. And Shawn Achor, author of “The Happiness Advantage: The Seven Principles of Positive Psychology That Fuel Success and Performance at Work” takes to the stage, providing attendees with a motivating presentation on how to capitalize on the Happiness Advantage to improve our performance and maximize our potential.
