    30th Anniversary

2010 marked ASHRM’s 30th anniversary, a time to reflect on our contributions to the growth of healthcare risk management since ASHRM was founded in 1980.

We started out as the American Society for Hospital Risk Management. Now we are the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, with approximately 5,300 members and 50 affiliated local chapters representing a variety of healthcare-related entities with clinical, legal and financial interests.

This page provides a showcase for all members to reflect upon ASHRM’s successes and share dreams for the profession.

Most young professionals form first impressions pretty quickly, and my first impressions have stayed with me for a lifetime. They have formed who I am today, how I think, and they even drive my professional passions."
