First-Time Attendees’ Breakfast

8-9:30 a.m.

Experienced ASHRM members highlight the benefits and advantages of ASHRM membership and share tips on how to get the most out of the Annual Conference & Exhibition. This breakfast is also a great way to begin networking and enjoy a complimentary breakfast.

 

Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) Examination Preparation Session

7 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) credential exam prep session will be led by Mary Gutman, RN, MS, FASHRM, CPHRM, and Joyce Benton, RN, MSA, ARM, CPHRM, DFASHRM. The session will fill up quickly; registration with the conference registration form in the back of this brochure is required. Prep session includes a light continental breakfast, light lunch and a copy of the CPHRM Study Guide (3rd Edition). Registration and breakfast open at 7 a.m. followed by content review.

 

Presidents’ Reception

5-6:30 p.m.

The formal opening of the conference provides a festive opportunity to join friends and colleagues in honoring 2004 ASHRM President Jeffrey Driver and those who have served before him.

 

Exhibition Hall Opening

6:30-9 p.m.

The Presidents’ Reception segues into the opening of the exhibition hall, where the largest trade show in health care risk management awaits. The aisles will be lined with opportunities to discover the latest products and services.

 

MONDAY

 

Networking Breakfast in the Exhibition Hall

7:30-8:30 a.m.

The day begins with a complimentary breakfast and conversation with exhibitors and ASHRM colleagues.

 

Annual Business Meeting and Member Appreciation Luncheon

Noon-1:30 p.m.

It’s time again to honor ASHRM members who graciously give their time and talent to their profession and the society. The president will report on the activities of ASHRM and recognize all volunteers.

 

Networking Reception in the Exhibition Hall

3:30-5:30 p.m.

The day ends with a great opportunity to visit exhibits that were missed in the morning or to discuss education sessions.

 

TUESDAY

 

Networking Breakfast in the Exhibition Hall

7:30-8:30 a.m.

The day starts with a complimentary breakfast and an opportunity to connect with other attendees. This is the last day for the exhibition hall, so all are encouraged to take advantage of the available resources and gather information to help make their jobs easier.

 

Exhibition Hall Networking Lunch

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Attendees are invited to grab a bite to eat and explore the exhibition hall for the final time.

 

An Evening at Medieval Times

Hosted by the Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management (FSHRM)

5:45 p.m.

All conference attendees, families and guests are invited to join in an evening of fun, networking and excitement at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Dinner and the 2-hour show are included. Round-trip transportation will be provided from the Marriott World Center. Click here for details.

The day begins with a complimentary breakfast before the last concurrent sessions and an inspiring closing keynote session.

 

Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) On-Site Examination

11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

The American Hospital Association Certification Center (AHA-CC), in cooperation with ASHRM, is offering a paper-and-pencil administration of the CPHRM examination. Registration for the exam is handled exclusively by AMP. A separate registration form is included in the back of this brochure. There will be no on-site registration. Cyber Café

Internet-connected computers at the Cyber Café will allow conference attendees to catch up on e-mail, confirm return flights and order ASHRM products online for delivery back home.

 

Bookstore

A full catalog of the latest risk management resources including books, pamphlets and CD-ROM toolkits will be stocked. Several keynote speakers’ publications and other specially priced books will be available, as well.

ASHRM provides the profession’s largest and most extensive exhibition featuring companies that offer solutions to risk management challenges. The Palms Ballroom and Exhibition Hall will open Sunday, Oct. 17. Attendees are encouraged to visit during the opening reception and come back during conference breaks.
